Outreach
Trunk n' Treat was a huge success!
Our Outreach committee seeks out ways to share the love of Jesus Christ with our local community. We operate the church's website and Facebook page, and we plan events and ministries that will bring awareness about MIPC to those in our area. Some of our activites and projects include:
Heavenly Handmade: This group of crafters meets every other Wednesday for fellowship and creativity. Projects include prayer shawls, lap blankets, and hats that are given to hospitals, nursing homes, shut-ins, and the unsheltered. Recent partnerships with homeless outreach have resulted in some wonderful projects for unsheltered folks - supplies, food, and other necessities.
Stephen Ministry: This specialized ministry trains members to provide one-to-one, Christ-centered care to hurting people. MIPC offers this service in conjunction with Grace United Methodist Church, and is able to offer services to those in need in our local community.
Trunk 'n' Treat: Every Halloween we offer an "alternative" to traditional Trick or Treating - we decorate our cars, dress up in costumes, and park along the circle driveway on the north side of the church, in order to provide a safe and family friendly way to pass out treats to the little ones!
